Jul 18, 2022 · Vignetting. Here comes my biggest gripe with the 16-80: the wicked vignetting at 16mm, at a whopping 2.6 stops. That is really difficult to correct, because the increased noise levels are often visible in the images. When compared at f/4, the 16-55 is significantly better than the 16-80 at any focal length. Oct 6, 2022 · From first look, OIS in 18-135mm lens give it an advantage. But from my experience, 18-55mm lens and prime lenses like Sigma 16/1.4 and Fujinon 18/2 give smoother footage handheld at wide angles than 18-135mm lens on X-S10 camera. That's why I search for a comparison between 18-135mm and 18-120mm lenses or some first-hand experience.

Aug 21, 2020 · For starters, here`s a comparison to show the focal length field of view differences between 16 - 18 - 55 - 80 mm, to be followed by full-size straight-out-of-camera (SOOC) JPEGs and Capture One (C1) exported RAWs - both with "Manufacturer Profile" lens corrections, but no corrections as well, seeing how that influences corner/edge sharpness.
Jan 15, 2021 · The main reason for me considering the 16-55 is the bigger aperture. However the 16-80 is more versatile with the longer FL (as well as IS). Currently both lenses are listed with the same price, but there is a cash-back campaign on the 16-55 so it is actually cheaper.
